Deoxys was so easy to not only beat but catch.
EX-raid pokemon have a higher catch rate than standard lvl 5 raids. When Mewtwo was still an EX Boss, I was batting 1000 each time I went in.

Can't even get people motivated to do raids at the moment.

No mewtwo was ever as easy as deoxys as everyone caught him literally first ball (most didn't even land a nice, great or excellent throw), no one missed him at all. I have done 30+ Mewtwo ex raids (100% catch rate for me) before he was released for everyone and there are very few with a 100% catch rate, I know plenty people that had Mewtwo run. Deoxys wasn't even a challenge.
base capture rate is 6%.

Over here they coordinate raids every day, sometimes it is ridiculous the amount of raids they do.

It's funny you guys mention Mewtwo, I only had one EX-Raid invite to Mewtwo back in February, which I caught. Since Mewtwo has been level 5, I'm 15 for 15

I still can't get people motivated. I messaged the group yesterday and said we have just over a week left to get him, asked who wanted him, whole bunch replied with "let me know!"
So I let them know yesterday when there were two raids starting ... and got no response. **** this town.

Fantastic Gengar day!
Two shinys (one in the high 90's). Immediately after the first one I caught a shiny Pinsir (utterly useless). Couple of other high 90's Gengars as well, plus lots of XP and star dust.

Oh hey, Burn, you see that I picked up a 100% Giratina? Named him Galvatron and had him as my buddy for a while.
Picked up a shiny Cubone. Huzzah. That shiny Driftloon I got was my first encounter with any Driftloon. Good times.
Nothing on Gengar day for me, at all. Didn't raid. Meh.
Adventure Sync is hatching eggs too quickly!! Or I'm moving a lot more than initially thought..

I did not.
You suck.

Pokemon Go's GPS was always wonky, Adventure Sync is taking advantage of much more reliable GPS/step trackers. If your goal is to hatch eggs then you should just keep Pokemon Go closed and let your phone's tracker look after the km's.

Another Community Day, another server meltdown for the Asia Pacific region.
Took nearly an hour for things to settle down and the game became playable. So to make it up to us they extended the event 2 hours.
But you'd only know that if you were following them on social media, there were no in-game alerts and a lot of people had given up, closed their phones, and gone home.
I got maybe 2-3 hours in, my partner, who had given up, got an hour in when we learned of the extension.
We got a shiny each. 1.
The best IV one I caught was a level 1, I'm working on raising him up. At the very least, I now have a Typhlosion that is leaps and bounds better than my original IV wise.

You could’ve prefaced that with “in the future, the event will be extended if you have server issues”
You would think they could just push out an alert!!

From what I've found it seems to have only been pushed out on Twitter.
Not everyone who plays Pokemon Go would be on Twitter. But everyone who plays Pokemon Go would be on Pokemon Go.
The "day" has started over in Europe and the sub-continent and people are reporting a lack of Cyndaquil's spawning. Hopefully they have it sorted out by the time it reaches America.
And then they'll forget how they "fixed" it for next month.

Those technical issues hit us over here Friday night too (Saturday for you of course), one of our local slack chat members is from Australia and he was posting the problems that were going on as were we posting about the game locking up. Niantic needs to get their **** together with these technical glitches, we were plagued with lock up glitches on the Moltres raid day, and the last two community days.

Is this thread welcoming to discussion about "Pokemon Let's Go"?

That depends on if you're going to link your Let's Go to my Pokemon Go account so I can get a Meltan.

I was just looking for a place to discuss the Switch game

I stopped playing this for a year but I reinstall it because of the Let's Go game on Nintendo Switch. I think I might stop again once the Pokemon Masters comes out.

Congrats Darth Burnius!! I've slowed my pace and really just let my GO-tcha do all the work. I don't even shiny check anymore! I just let the fates decide. A friend of mine is almost level 40 2x (he's at 38mil XP) but he raids all the time and runs lucky eggs frequently. He also gets coins every day, whereas I maybe get coins 3 days a week. I miss the old gym system.

As far as I know I'm the second "local born" level 40. Plenty of others breeze in and out (we have a good backpacker turn over).
I can generally average the 50 coins a day, provided I get out in the mornings and take all the gyms.
I'd say I don't shiny check, but truth is, I do, and they're never shiny.
I still enjoy it, it gets me out and walking (except this morning when I wasn't came to poke my toes out from under the blanket) and some of the other players in town are good value. But despite all their events, it could do with a little more variety at times.

I can't believe in the space of less than a week I've become lucky friends with Cyber Bishop and Counterpunch.
Because those trades are going to happen.

I do, but due to my schedule I don't play as much as I used to.
