God's dammit Walmart...

Well I got Lockdown, my highest priority, at least. And Ferak. Cannonball sold out in my cart though and Filch was already long gone. Why don't heir damned exclusives have to be so difficult to get

I think it's because they mainly want you to get them in store

Here we thought they finally smartened up and did an even case of 4 figures, only for the stream to confirm that Road Pig and Thundertron are coming later in the year so it looks like we're getting another instance like Velocitron where we get a late refresh that swaps some Deluxe figures out for another (and most Walmarts wont even bother like with Crasher, Shadowstrip and Galaxy Shuttle).

ok, so Im a little confused.... Hasbro just released a Voyager Thundertron for Legacy United. But Walmart is getting a Leader later this year? Is this just going to be a repaint with some "added stuff" to make it a Leader?

The worst part of those refreshes was that while all 3 were on Pulse in limited Quantities, Galaxy Shuttle was only on Walmart.com for a short time as well (so glad I got one), while Crasher and Shadowstrip never had valid pre-orders on Walmart.com.

Galaxy Shuttle never showed up in stores, while Crasher and Shadowstrip were extremely limited. I still cant believe I actually found a single Shadowstip in the wild, at a random visit to a Walmart I don't frequent.

We've been wondering about that ever since the leaks first revealed the two different Thundertron releases.

No luck online but thankfully my Walmart always seems to be overloaded with the exclusives (there's still a bunch of grimlocks and cloud covers there now)

I'm definitely gonna get ferak and filch, though the wing pieces seem a little too big for her forearms. Cannonball having the hammer, claw, and gun is awesome. Love that. Lockdown idk now. They basically said they're gonna do an animated lockdown eventually. Though I could still use this one for junkasaurus. Decisions decisions

I really want roadpig and thundertron to be revealed already. The anticipation is getting annoying

Word of the day for this stream was definitely "exemplify" lol

It's funny seeing so many people so interested in Ferak when, back when the BotCon 2014 version was first unveiled, everyone and their mother considered Ferak to be the biggest waste of plastic that Fun Pub had ever made up to that point.

In today's stream,
  • Mark called Lockdown a Weaponizer.
  • Ferak's face is based on Floro Dery's early Cyclonus face design, which was used for the Marvel version of Cyclonus.
  • And a few mistakes were made: Mark repeatedly said Filch is from Cyberverse, and both he and BMac repeatedly mispronounced Ferak's name as "Fer-ROCK" instead of "Fair-ack".

I got the figures I wanted but I noticed that when I used a Credit Card I wasn't charged but when I used a debit card I was charged right away, I think Walmart might be one of those stores that charges Debit Cards right away, it happens.

Speaking of figures I was waiting for...

Are you sure they meant a later wave when they said the rest would come later in the year? The Toxitron colletion was only 1 wave with Toxitron, Cloudcover and Jazz revealed and put up for pre-order at the collector con and the remaining figures revealed at SDCC officially but being found in stores a week or 2 earlier. Unless they specifically said a later wave, I'm more inclined to think they meant the reveals are what are coming later, not the toys themselves. If that is the case, then it should be an even case of 4 deluxes with nobody shortpacked and solid cases of 1 figure for voyager and leader.

Its the same as the toxitron wave. While the toys will be revealed at different times, they will all be released in the same wave

Images Showing Final Deco for Legacy Lockdown + More Images of Star Raiders and Road Pig Sneak Peek

Hasbro and one of the main designers, Mark Maher, has posted new photos of the Star Raiders which were officially revealed yesterday. While we see nice shots of the group is does give us a better look at the final deco for Lockdown, which has extra deco on the hood including green stripes and individually painted spikes. Ferak is said to also have extra deco not seen in the initial stock images which we can see in these photos.

Mark posted his own photos on Instagram which show how you can give Lockdown longer legs, making him look more like his lanky self. As an extra bonus, those leg extensions seem to be a preview of Road Pig, the 4th deluxe in this line, and those are his arms. Which means that he is the Crashbar mold and the final piece to completing Junkasaurus.

Agreed, except Lockdown's, which I'm on the fence about. I know he can't have his trademark Animated squint in every universe, but these big, insectoid, compound eyes, combined with his mouth sculpt, make him look stoned or something...from certain angles at least. In one pic he looks OK, so I might need to see him in person. Or I might just not need another Lockdown.

Cannonball's the opposite. Never bothered with him before because I thought the original Cybertron Red Alert repaint looked kind of cheap or something; maybe I was just mad that the obvious Crankcase repaint hadn't happened yet. But this one looks just cool enough that he might be my first Cannonball.

It's the same head design as the Lockdown from the Revenge of the Fallen toyline.

But this one's eyes are twice as big, and the mouth sculpt makes it appear slightly agape if there's any shadow, so Lockdown looks like he just got high off some cargo they hijacked. I can't see him being as competent a bounty hunter as his prior incarnations if he's O.D.ing on whatever the Star Raiders are smuggling.

There's something about this Lockdown iteration that seems... "Rescue Bot"-ey. Like it was made for younger tykes. The whole wave feels like a pass for me.

In Hand Images of Transformers Legacy Origin Wheeljack

While Legacy voyager Origin Wheeljack (Cybertronian Wheeljack) is street dated for March 31, one store put him up early. And the fan who got him, Chicagolander, has taken images so that we can see him at every angle. And some angles sure are better than others. There is a really nice shot, though, of Bunblebee inside him, recreating the scene from the very first episode. We see what needs to be done for Bee to fit and how spacious the alt mode is.

Holy f*$%anoli! The most obvious feature fans would want that no one asked for because no one thought it was possible!

Could this be the warm up for a SS'86 Titan Astrotrain that can do the same trick with the upcoming Devastator?!?

Being spacious enough to carry Bumblebee inside him is the whole reason why they made Wheeljack a Voyager instead of a Deluxe.

And still requires partially un-transforming Bee to do it.

But I would certainly entertain the idea of a Commander version if it delivered.

I don't see either happening. I just don't think the engineering is possible for HasTak to do what people want. That's the science-fiction aspect in force...like a 35 foot tool tyrant transforming and shrinking into something a human could hold.

And in a previous fan stream, Evan said that if they were to do a SS86 Astrotrain, it would just be a more cartoon-accurate redeco of Siege Astrotrain.
