Seibertron.com member It Is Him has noticed something very interesting and somewhat exciting in the BotCon promo video we reported
earlier.
The following is a screen-shot he took of the video, in it we can see someone digitally painting a robot in the War for Cybertron aesthetic.
Could this be our first look at WFC2 Sunstreaker? And will it get a toy? Only time will tell.

Cybergundam Blog has shared with us a magazine scan showing two upcoming releases for the Revoltech line by Kaiyodo. While the article itself seems to be more about a Revoltech Ironman 2 Warmachine, we do get to see the back and accessories of another Revoltech figure- one resembling the Dark of the Moon design of Movieverse Optimus Prime.
We have mirrored the image for your viewing pleasure.
For those that do not know, Revoltech is a line of action figures by Japanese toy company Kaiyodo based around the "Revolver joint system" which allows for a wide range of movement. Revoltech as a line has many different sub-lines based on different properties, Alien, Toy Story, Macross, and Transformers.
The Revoltech Transformers are non-transformable but highly pose-able and detailed figures and are usually based on the Pat Lee designs from the Dreamwave comics.
This is the second not-G1 Optimus Prime figure planed for the Revoltech Transformers line, the other being based of the Transformers Energon design and as to date still unreleased.
You can click
here to see the seibertron.com galleries of previous Transformers Revoltech figures.

This one kinda slipped under the radar when got the
scans of DOTM Deluxe Laserbeak's instructions, but it appears we could be getting a DOTM Deluxe Buzzsaw repaint/remold. Laserbeak's instructions reveal an alternate head, and now that
DOTM Deluxe wave three is starting to turn up at retail fans are taking notice. Keep in mind we are only guessing this repaint will be called Buzzsaw, but it would seem to be an obvious choice since G1
Laserbeak and
Buzzsaw shared the same mold.

Neo-Bombshell reports having been invited to a DOTM promotional event in Peru where 30 minutes of DOTM footage was shown. While he wasn't lucky enough to see the whole film like
Capone from Ain't it Cool News his description of what was shown does reveal a few details that
Capone's review did not. Obligatory spoiler warning. To view his original post click
here.
- He reiterates the dark tone of the Chicago battle, human skulls litter the destruction
- Sam and Carly meet at a White House award ceremony where Sam is receiving a metal from President Obama
- Optimus Prime takes down one of the ships attacking Chicago, the Wreckers tear the pilot apart limb by limb
- funny scene where Malkovich's character has an employee's coffee mug destroyed because it doesn't match the carpet
- another funny scene where Sam's co-worker played by Ken Jeong pulls him into the bathroom to show him some sort of alien evidence that requires pulling his pants down, Malkovich walks in on the scene
- Sam uses his grappling gauntlet as a weapon to harpoon one of Starscream's eyes, then inserts a bomb into the other
- Sideswipe is seen using guns similar to his Sidearm Sideswipe figure
- 3-D scenes looked great
- Ark is seen leaving Cyberton in the midst of a Decepticon attack, the cockpit moves to the rear of ship to become a battle station where Autobots return fire

Capone of
Ain't it Cool News had the opportunity to view Transformers DOTM in it's entirety and has posted the film's first
review. While the version that was screened was in 2-D the reviewer states the movie's 3-D potential is "very clear". He also states the movie looks surprisingly complete considering it doesn't come out until July 1st. He has tried to keep his review free of major spoilers, but naturally there are some spoiler-
ish details so read on at your own risk. We'll hit some of the high points below, to read his full review click
here!
Update: After the
Ain't it Cool News review started making waves in the Transformers community regarding the twins director Michael Bay posted the following in his
Shoot for the Edit forum:
After the internet posting of a nice review by someone who saw Transformers Dark of the Moon, the writer had not been clear on one thing. He misstated that the Twins are in the film. They are not.
So I am offering a $25,000 REWARD to anyone who can find them performing in Transformers 3, on July 1, when the movie opens.
Michael
Capone has subsequently updated his
review with the following regarding the twins:
[Hey, everyone. Just to be 100 percent clear, I'm not referring about the "The Twins" here; they are most definitely not in this film. I'm talking about Wheelie (Tom Kenny, who also voiced Skids in REVENGE OF THE FALLEN) and other similar smaller robots, who act like streetwise teenagers.]
The Chicago battle:
- over an hour long
- intense
- lots of civilian deaths
The Twins:
- they are in the film
- they've been toned down from ROTF
Megatron:
- very creepy
- still has is disfigurements from ROTF
- little spider-like robots crawl in and out of his head wound that he casually picks away
- in surprisingly good spirits
Sentinel Prime:
- left Cybertron in the Ark filled with technology he thought would eventually save their planet
- voiced to "perfection" by Nimoy
- retrieved and revived by Optimus Prime
Sam Witwicky:
- has graduated college and is now living with new girlfriend Carly
- not happy that he is not employed by the government
- his boss is played by Malkovich
- Ken Jeong is co-worker
- his parents are in the film, but minimally
Carly:
- Sam's new girlfriend (obviously)
- often in the tightest of cloths
- often filmed as though she is in a Victoria's Secret show
- better than Megan Fox in the reviewer,s opinion
Dylan (Patrick Dempsey):
- Carly's boss and possible competition for her attentions
- has a penchant for world domination
Agent Simmons;
- has written a book about the Transformers on Earth
- now a rich eccentric
- trying to not get pulled back in to the game
Moon landings/alien technology:
- the first and every Moon landing since has been in response to the Ark crash landing
- Autobots are not amused that technology meant to save their race has been sitting on the Moon all this time without their knowledge
- Chernobyl accident was caused by experimentation on retrieved alien technology
Bottom line: Best of the three!

As the TF3 movie release date draws closer, more plot spoilers have potential be revealed-read at you own risk. Over at fellow fansite TFW2005, member
Cth (Cthilhu) has
posted a number of pages from several upcoming TF3:Dark of the Moon children's books, one called
The Lost Autobot and the other called
Optimus Prime's Friends and Foes. While both books are not yet available for sale (like the toys, their street date is also Monday, May 16th, 2011), apparently a few have popped up on bookstore shelves for fan review. In one of the books, Wheeljack's alt mode is confirmed as the
blue Mercedes Mercedes E550 we saw in the filming spyshots and galleries last summers. Also included are images of Mirage as well as several scenes from the movie.
Additional unconfirmed but presumed plot spoilers include:
- Optimus Prime's trailer can transform into a shield
- The Wreckers are Autobot mechanics who will assist in rebuilding an Autobot spaceship, possibly the Ark
- Sentinel Prime's primary weapon is a rust cannon
- Laserbeak can/will transform into several common alt modes including a computer, stereo, and TV.
- Megatron will use a spacebridge will be used to transport a Decepticon army from the Moon to Earth.
Both of these books will be available in stores on May 17th and can also be found on Amazon.com
HERE and
HERE.

BigBadToyStore.com has just listed
MP-09 Masterpiece Rodimus Prime Version 02, stating:
BBTS wrote:This second release is to have corrected the flaws of the original version.
Please Note: We cannot accept returns or exchanges (from Pile of Loot or shipping returns) on the original version of the MP-09 for the updated version of the MP-09, we apologize for any inconvenience.
Why do not have additional details at this time, but it appears the controversial figure may be tweaked to address some of fans' biggest problems, like paint wear.
In the meantime, you can check out our
MP-09 Rodimus Prime Gallery, one of the most comprehensive galleries of the figure so far!

Here is some possible good news for the U.K. members of Seibertron. Red Leader of Kapow Toys has posted on
Full Metal Hero that a well known U.K. wholesaler has indicated that the U.K. may be getting a "Leadfoot figure in a limited capacity." No details about the figure is known except that the order quantity must be 5000 for the exclusivity and it "may possibly be stocked by a high street chain well known for serving the UK with sci fi products, it is still an open offer so anyone can still bite." What we do know is that this is not the Cyberverse figure.
Leadfoot is the red Target sponsored wrecker. Fans have speculated that Leadfoot would be a Target exclusive in the U.S. due to the sponsor details. Perhaps Leadfoot will be a Target exclusive in the U.S. while an unknown retailer will get the exclusive in the U.K. We will update you with new information as it becomes available but for now we are treating this as a rumor.

Anticipation is building as to just who and what the
recently announced Masterpiece MP-10 is.
Anonymous sources (and a little bit of reasoned guess work) reveal this upcoming MP figure to be none other than Optimus Prime with an improved trailer (ala MP-04). Details as we know to be rumored:
- All new mold
- Robot-mode size close to the i-Gear Faith Leader KO
- Improved overall robot-mode and design
- Better looking, more cartoon accurate head
- Die-cast parts
- Trailer
- Truck-mode more convincing and realistic than MP 01
- Truck-mode windscreen and grill better aligned than on previous G1 Optimus Prime toys
- Accessories have not been decided upon yet
This is of course as of yet not 100% confirmed, our source may be mistaken as to some of the key details, but then again the same source has delivered reliable information about DOTM Leader Class Ironhide, Sentinel Prime, etc...
So yea, we're pretty sure this is true, but take it with a grain of salt - and watch that blood pressure...
