Fellow Seibertronian philswitch engage has alerted us to a Bloomberg Business article reporting a possible merger of Hasbro and Mattel.
There has been reports in the past of a Hasbro / Mattel deal and details of this potential merger are scarce.
Here are the highlights of the Bloomberg Article:
Hasbro's and Mattel's stocks are on the rise with Hasbro leading the charge. Hasbro is projected to have a strong year with the release of a new Star Wars movie. Both companies are facing fierce competition from fellow toy manufacturer LEGO.

Fellow Seibertronians, courtesy of fellow user Mindmaster, via zmultiplier on Weibo, we get our first look at the upcoming Titans Return Alpha Trion, although it has already been teased, this is our first clear look at what appears to be half of the box art for the upcoming Voyager Class Alpha Trion figure. Alpha Trion can be seen sporting a lion head as a pauldron, which would seem to confirm that he does at least have a lion mode.

As we had heard in a recent interview, the next Paramount/Michael Bay Transformers live-action feature will see a 2017 release date - but thanks to My Entertainment World and fellow Seibertronian Survivefan23, we have confirmation of the beginning of the works (though not a definite location other than the Chicago stories): May 2016. Fellow Seibertronians, hot on the heels of the Meet the Autobots video - which featured clips from Transformers RID Season2 - we get our first teaser trailer for season 2. Although, it can only be watched on YouTube, we also get an interesting post on Kirk Van Wormer's Twitter account that seems to simultaneously announce and confirm a season 4 of RID, despite there being no news of a season 3 at this point - we have screencapped the message below, in case of changes from on high.

Hasbro may not have shown up at the UK Toy Fair last weekend, but the EU section has its presence at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in Germany - and with that come their press releases about upcoming products on the European market (which have already been seen elsewhere). So far, all we have seen relates to the Transformers: Robots in Disguise line - as you can read in German below, with a quick translation from yours truly - but we do have additional info on the recently reported Hyper Surge Optimus, here named Gigawatt Optimus Prime. With a couple of weeks until the New York Toy Fair, some images from upcoming Transformers products are starting to crop up around the internet. In this particular instance, the Snakas blog has collected images from the Bottalk.com boards here, and we've mirrored below what looks like Titan Masters Scourge, Mindwipe, the Chromedome head and possibly an Alpha Trion robot mode. Seibertronians: thanks to Twitter User @Nakigao_san we now have a better image of Unite Warriors Blastoff! This is a new mold, and features an interesting transformation where the combiner peg ends up on his back. Via fellow seibertronian Madeus Prime, We now have new images from the Robots in Disguise Mobile App Game that shows us some potential new characters-Chief among them a legion Groundpounder!-along with some already revealed characters. Now as you all remember, we have seen screen shots from the games before and this has led to some new toys, so while this does not confirm any new toys it does give us potential looks at possible toys. Fellow Seibertronians, an interesting picture has surfaced DiamChoc's Facebook page. It appears to be new art for Omega Supreme, based on the YOTS Omega Supreme's figure, done in the style of Marcelo Matere's Combiner Wars and Unite Warriors box art.
Compare it to the YOTS Omega Supreme art from the box, and you'll notice the vast differences, not least of which is the updated arm and head.

We've seen official color art for the upcoming Titans Return Fortress Maximus before. But fellow Seibertronian Mindmaster has sent us an image from weibo user zmultiplier. This is another teaser image along the same lines as the recently revealed Combiner Wars Computron. What makes this new picture stand out is what appears to be the Master Sword. Which was previously hinted at in Fort Max's first reveal.
An anonymous source informed us that Fortress Maximus might get a possible release at this year's SDCC, similar to Metroplex and Devastator in previous years. Our source told us that Fort Max MIGHT include the large sword and possibly his smaller gun, which we don't think the retail version will include. Currently, we do not have any confirmation from Hasbro about a SDCC release or any information about possible additional accessories.
