Greetings all! Thanks to fellow Seibertronian Worleybird056, we have an interesting new store listing to bring to you. Searching through the internal store listings, they found a listing for a "Transformers BB Legacy Voyager Dinobot", as can be seen below. Given that the Buzzworthy Bumblebee (BB) line is exclusive to Target, we can guarantee this figure's release at Target in the U.S. The not yet officially confirmed blue Bluestreak is rumored to come out on the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line as a Legacy add on to that line, as well. Though what the figure is that belongs to this listing remains to be seen. Could it be a re-release of Kingdom Dinobot in a different color scheme? Could it possibly be an 86 movie version of Swoop, at the Voyager size class? We are getting 86 movie figures in this line, after all.
Feel free to speculate away on this listing below! Let us know what you think this figure might be.

While the Rescue Bots show is over, there is still a big market for these style of toys and Hasbro wants to have a stable stream of product alongside Imaginext toys in the toddler toy aisle. So Hasbro is releasing more Rescue Bots type product under the Classic Heroes Team banner and you can see them below. The Optimus prime and Bumblebee are repacks, but the Grimlock and Optimus Primal are new. This is surprising since the previous rescue bots Optimus Primal was an Optimus Prime which turned into a T-Rex, and so we'd assumed this would be a reissue of that rather than a brand new mold. This is sure to be fun for young kids, who can play with these starting at 2 years old (despite what the recommended age states).

The authentics line gets very little attention and that's kind of the point. They are meant to simply be exist and be available at stores that don't often carry Transformers. Be it Dollar General in the US or Canadian Tire in Canada or a myriad of other shops in South America and Asia. They are just affordable Transformers toys of classic characters and now we have a first look at two more, Wheeljack and Arcee. Wheeljack takes a major cue from his Earthrise toy while Arcee has a rather neat transformation giving it a lot more alt mode integration in robot mode, the most we've ever seen for a toy basing itself on the G1 character model. These images are from
ACD distribution. There will be no further reveal than this from Hasbro and you will find them this year in any store that stocked the previous releases. Arcee is 4.5 inches tall while Wheeljack is 7 inches tall.

We are not even done January yet and we have a nice new sighting of a toy which some retailers were planning to only get in June. Transformers Studio Series 86 Leader Class Coronation Starscream was spotted at a Target in Greenwood Indiana. They come two per case and are closed box. This is the same voyager Starscream we got in Earthrise (proving that all these G1 character molds are meant to go together) but with articulated hands and lots of accessories including Megatron's throne.
This sighting comes to us from SAF7 who posted it on the
TFW2005 boards.

Fans were very quick to pick up on the strange weapons that come with core class Skywarp and Iguanus. Turns out, these same "weapons" can be seen combined to form a larger sword on the box art of core class Kingdom Hot Rod (which will be repacked in Legacy wave 1 with these other core figures). Below you will see images of each weapon along with the combination in the art. We will see how that extends to other classes when people have the varying classes in hand. Also it is unknown if Hasbro will give instructions for specific combos but the artwork from Hot Rod shows that they definitely have specific combos in mind.
Also, another fun tidbit that fans noticed with yesterday's news was the placement of the wheels in Iguanus' robot mode. It pays homage to how the inner robot looked like, as you will see below.

When we did the year end review, what most of us selected as what we were looking forward to seeing this year was what will happen with the Rise of the Beast toyline. As we saw with Godzilla vs Kong, Black Widow, Snake Eyes and Rise of Gru, toy manufacturers and retailers cannot delay a toyline, even though it would benefit from being released at the same time as the movie it is linked to. It seems the loss of sale from a lack of cross promotion is not as big as the cost of storing all these products in warehouses for months on end, disrupting the established global supply chain from the factory to the retailer. And that's just on the supplying end, with issues and loss of revenue also incurred on the retailer end due to a planned product that is not being supplied/stocked and sold.
And unlike with Godzilla or Minions, Transformers is a toy brand that stands on it's own, with a dedicated space and dedicated core market.
I wrote all that to explain what seems to be the outcome chosen by Hasbro regarding what happens to the Rise of the Beasts toyline. According to this article from
TFW2005, retailers around the world have been given April 2022 as their supply date. Toys may come later, or before, but that is the intended date for the wave 1 toys to be at retailers. We also learn that there will be multiple waves, with the second wave planned for August 2022.
Since the movie is already finished with the live action shooting, that means the bulk of what is left is the CGI effects, where the bots come into play. And with a whole extra year to deal with that part, it is very likely that the toys in the Rise of the Beasts line will not reflect the final look of the characters. This will probably be fine for fans and kids alike since, for the fans, the toyline was never aimed at them and, for kids, there won't be anything to compare the toys to. It will simply be another toyline on the shelf for parents to buy and kids to want. If you want to know the contents of the toyline so far, please
There had been some rumours of more screen accurate toys coming out for fans after the movie is released, but there was never any concrete evidence as to when. As they did with car mode Dropkick and Jet mode Shatter, Hasbro may wat until they have the final CGC models to base their sculpts on, meaning accurate figures for the film could come out only in 2024.
And yes, to further confirm, the Rise of the Beasts toyline that is currently set to be coming to stores in 2022 is going to be very similar to the Cyberverse toyline with a myriad of classes based on different gimmicks. It will be interesting to see if Hasbro promotes it at all. The Bumblebee movie line was not heavily promoted to fans with it's announcement coming from the
GeekDad website.
One last thing, since Transformers toylines tend to sell on the basis that they are Transformers toys, movie lines are usually stocked and ordered for 2 years/holiday seasons rather than just when the film is out (hence why it was nonstop movie product on shelves between ROTF and DOTM). So it could very well be that the cross promotion will still have a chance to be in full effect in 2023 when the movie comes out.

Looks like a few people have SS86 Junkyard at the moment since we are getting various images/videos with him in it. Below you will see an image of the toy along with screenshots of him in Chefatron's Legacy Skids review. Junkyard is a far more extensive retool of SS86 Wreck Gar than some may have imagined. We only know what he looks like in bot mode for now. You will let us know what you think of this toy!
