EDIT: Proof Thundercracker is the best looking seeker! And he has his shoulder stickers?

Now all I need to see is Thrust before I decide to drop the money on the set. He's the one that I decided early on would be the deal breaker for me.

They made him from pure sex! and what with the cost of sex on the market today, they're really playing into fan expectations.
Bravo!

They probably are the same blue. In fact, with the exception of the cone head, cockpit, and wings they're the same figure. They both have black feet, thrusters, lower arms, and hands. My guess is, they pop off a bunch out of the same mold and designate so many as Dirge and so many as Thundercracker. It's only the wings, head, and cockpit that are different.

I don't think it's the same blue. Thundercracker seems to have somewhat of a glitter in his plastic.
I bet they are the same colors as the G1 reissues Hasbro did three years ago. Check those, you'll clearly see the difference.

Once again, watch as Hasbro screws over the world in favour of the few.
Good job guys, good job...

You could be right it's hard to tell from those pics for sure. I do see the glitter you're talking about though. However, I can only really make it out on the wings and the tip of the nosecone on Thundercracker... both pieces which are different from Dirge.

Repainted Starscreams are really getting old for me. I wouldn't buy this guy if he was mass-produced and sold at retail, I'm certainly not gonna pay 200$ on eBay for one...
I don't think any convention exclusive will be able to beat last year's Botcon exclusives, the Beast Wars set was awesome!

Please present your marketing and/or large-market manufacturing degree.
Then please proceed to explain by way of market analysis how you can prove that you know better than a multi-billion dollar corporation with 20+ years of experience.
I, personally don't have those. So I know I'm not really in a place to second guess one of the largest toy manufacturers in the world.

Incorrect statement. While we are collectors, we represent a small percentage of revenues for the TF line. If they were to produce a whole run of these...they would become shelf warmers. Think about it from the primary group that purchases TFs...parents. If you go to the store and see Thrust, Dirge, Ramjet, and Thundercracker on the shelf, you basically see the same 4 figures (in their mind) with just a different color. So they only buy one seeker. Thrusts are all ready clogging up the shelves at my stores right next to Cliffjumper...the repaints, so why make 3 more repaint characters? They won't sell enough to clear them out and stores will be pissed.

I proved my own point! I'm a collector and I can't even tell the difference between the coneheads!

Please keep the unnecessary comments out of this thread.
If someone asks or says something, and you have a reply in mind that you know may start a conflict of some sort please keep that reply to yourself.
That goes for anyone that feels the need to bash Hasbro as well.
Keep it civil.

Besides that, the fan community is the test market for everything the TF brand does, and helps give Hasbro the ability to ink deals with Dreamworks to get a movie made. Are there multiple websites full of fans clamoring for a neopets movie?
As for Hasbro's marketing savvy, well...they do own the North American rights to Duel-masters, after all.

I was just making a smartass comment. I think it's actually a quote from Dr. Evil asking why make billions when they could make millions.

Just need to see Thrust and deal is set.
If you like what you see still can send in the order form for the Iacon package and get the set delivered to your house if you can't attend the con.
I will scrape the money together to get this set!

You don't have to go to get them.
You can order a non-attending package. Yea, it's $280 for members of the club, but at least that way you are saving on your travel expenses etc.

Skywarp has already been released and yes, oragsms were had which is very akward since Target is a family oriented business as it was explained to me by the arresting officer.

A great-looking repaint! And so what if it IS a repaint--so were the original seekers, minus the new wing designs on the last three...
Color me excited!
