Beware the inescapable clutches of the mighty Unicron! The already formidable hands of the Chaos Bringer will now have 15 points of articulation, 3 per finger, so Unicron can better grasp the inferior bots he wishes to devour. The included Galvatron and newly added Hot Rod slug figures make the perfect snacks!
With the new to-scale Hot Rod slug figure, fans can re-imagine the epic 1986 movie scene where Hot Rod defeats the menacing Planet Eater! Unicron will also now come with an Autobot shuttle ship inspired by the movie!
And when fans play out the part where the Bringer of Chaos's head flies off into space, now it can appear to float! Unicron will come with a clear premium posable headstand to display his dismembered head in all its glory. The headstand also features posts to pose the included mini figures.
The Transformers War for Cybertron Unicron figure is part of Hasbro's crowdfunding platform, HasLab. Remember, if the project doesn’t reach 8,000 backers by October 6th, the product will not move into production. Also, orders for Unicron will no longer be accepted after October 6th. If you want to add this once-in-a-lifetime figure to your Transformers collection, you must back this project before the deadline. You can back this project at HasbroPulse.com.
**Image of Unicron’s Hand is a grey prototype. Final hand will have deco.

Still, digital.
What's the point of exclusivity again? Digital have no value because it's going to be torrented just a few hours after it become available.
Print as actual physical comics that would be sent only to the backers as a bonus exclusive collector item and now we're talking.

Want to put Unicron over the top, easy? Make a miniature Grimlock figure that would attach to Unicron's butt so he could...well, you know!

Plus, it's really only the cover that's new. The story itself is just a reprint of the existing adaptation IDW did over a decade ago, which isn't exactly something people are clamoring for.-Kanrabat- wrote:Burn wrote:Seibertron wrote:every fan that officially backs the toy through HASBROPULSE.com w

And even if the cover is the only exclusive, it really isn't since it's been posted right there on Hasbro Pulse for anyone and everyone to behold in full size just by clicking on it, pretty much making any and all exclusivity about this deal null and void.

Guess I'm just a little bummed that this comic not only isn't the thing that Ron Friedman and Flint Dille said they'd make if Unicron gets funded, but is just that same doggone TFTM adaptation again.Burn wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Plus, it's really only the cover that's new. To be fair, Galvatron's ship was never even named in the movie or show. It didn't get its name until 2009 when its animation model was published in The Complete Ark, from which it got its name.Immortal Starscream wrote:Sabrblade wrote:There's a G.I. Transformers prices have basically increased by at least 33% overall. Masterpieces doubled. And that Unicron is a giant behemoth that have at least TWICE the material of your standard Titan.
Face it, dude. The times of cheap transformers is gone.
On a happier note, with TF Select replacing Botcon and Funpub, we can now get the exclusive repaints at a reasonable price. So that's at least that.

The Lord of Chaos. The Planet Eater. The Chaos Bringer. Unicron stands alone as the most menacing figure in Transformers lore, capable of devouring entire worlds and civilizations. He debuted in the 1986 film Transformers: The Movie and his insatiable appetite nearly brought the entire universe to its knees.
But his legacy transcends both space and time.
“I have summoned you here for a purpose.” - Unicron
Transformers fans may be mere humans, inhabiting a miniscule planet hardly worth consuming, but they are some of the most passionate fans out there. That’s why HASLAB, the Hasbro Pulse crowdsourcing platform, is the place to awaken such a massive project.
Introducing the first ever Transformers HASLAB project: Transformers War For Cybertron Unicron.
“Then it pleases me to be the first.” - Unicron
Join us in a historic opportunity to celebrate the legendary Unicron with a figure whose features, detail, and scale are worthy of his gigantic legacy.
This campaign will move into production when it reaches its minimum goal of 8,000 backers. All support must be received by 11:59 PM EST on October 6, 2019. If the campaign is successful your payment method will be charged on October 6, 2019. Orders are estimated to ship in early 2021.

I believe it too. After such an emotional roller coaster this victory is going to feel so good. I’ve waited for this figure since ‘86, and I never anticipated it would ever be this screen accurate. Hell, this is fate. After this much of an investment in man hours, design, and a launch that included as much fanfare as it was rocky, Unicron is too big (no pun intended) to fail. I can’t imagine Hasbro having this many backers, this close to their goal and not making this happen. I don’t want to be petty but after all of the hate, vitriol and threats from “fans” to go support 3P knock off Unis in hopes that Haslab’s official offering would fail I can’t wait to see him go into production.

I've always felt that 7000 was the real minimum, and as long as they got that many, they would make things work somehow. Sure, they would be settling for less profit that they originally planned, but at least they wouldn't have wasted the time and money spent on development.

Is it just me, or is that a lot darker now? Maybe it's just he lights?
Anyway, as I write this we're nearly at 7,200. Japanese pre-orders ended yesterday and other shops should be placing their final orders soon so I wouldn't be surprised if it well exceeds 8,000. I think Hasbro is just enjoying the free PR drama.
That said, I finally placed my order on Pulse.

Because I'm an engineer (and a nerd), I'd love to see this graphically. A slow steady rise, then a plateau, and then at the end it either rises because not enough bought in, or falls because they are going to make it.

Man, so I've been in a fiscally tight situation as well, and I ended up having to cancel my HasLab order. But this thing (if getting made) is a MUST HAVE for me... so I ended up going with BBTS. I mean, it really really sucks that I'm essentially paying an extra $200 more than I would have normally, but this figure is too worth it to miss out. It really helps that they don't make you pay everything upfront, as well as supposedly still letting you do $4 flat rate shipping. I still don't fulling understand how TFSource does theirs, but I'm believe the shipping on Unicron will be completely free due to its price. I just think that because of how once in a lifetime this figure is, if you can and really want to, you should. I mean, over a full year is a good amount of time to save up, it's practically just $50 a month less on normal Transformer spending (or other stuff of course.)
