New In Package Photos of Movie Thundercracker and G1 Colored Starscream

The new head will make many people happy.

Is it me or is that Ironhide on the back of the box White and blue instead of Black?

Thundercracker looks pretty good. I might just have to get that.

Not even G1 colours can save that ugly freak.

He is a very cool toy with a very fun transformation.
Belive me I hated him, but as I got him by acident and transformed him for the first time, I just had to admit that he's one of the best TFs ever.

Well thats cool... means you could have movie starscream and thundercracker and they would at least look a little more different than just their colourscheme... hate when they just repaint a figure and not change 'something' about the mold.

Although i really like the new head, i cant justify spending more money on another Starscream that is essentially just a repaint. I might however buy the Thundercracker because hes a different character.

Looks like. First we've seen of an Ironhide recolour, but given the G1 stylings of the others I'm surprised it isn't red. Might just about work as Prowl I suppose, too bulky for Mirage, can't think of any 'obvious' G1 cast for this to be a homage to, Skids maybe? Still, if it exists we need to see some better pics.

edit - Just had at look at the gallery for Ironhide and the image on the back of his box looks similarly 'light'. I was initially thinking recolour but it's probably a flash issue and/or differences between the test shot and production piece.

Movie Ironhide's original color scheme is more of a Trailbreaker homage. Maybe the White and blue is just a Repaint for repaints sake.

Or the image just looks like that, but is in reality the normal Black Iron Hide.

either way we need better pictures of that section of the box or the figure itself before we can be sure what its meant to be.

When will we see these on store shelves? I like the G1 style SS. I may just call the movie SS "Sunstar" (or whatever the yellow guy's name is), and use that excuse to justify getting that SS. Thundercracker I really like! I hope they make Skywarp SOON! They're still pretty freaky looking, but at the same time, they're rather cool.

honestly I don't mind the starscream design , especially after seeing the movie clips with him in it but that G1 repaint doesn't look very good to me, I actually prefer the tan coloring. That aside I really like the thundercracker figure.

Although I like the G1 color scheme, I will probably pass unless he is that color in the movie at some point. I'm sticking with just the characters as they are represented in the film to help maintain control of my collection.

I really despise that mould. Colouring it like Seekers means nothing to me since the body doesn't look like one. It suffers the typical movie problems: nice alt/terrible robot and needlessly-layed/cut-up chest.

I was totally gung-ho for the G1 redeco before I bought Movie Screamer, but now that I have him, he and his bug-face have grown on me, ALMOST to the point of being my favored transformer. I'll still be picking it up, because c'mon it's frickin' Starscream.

I love the new head and colors, but he still looks like an ape/bug freak in robot mode, so unfortunately, as much as I love Starscream & TC, I'm passing too.

And G1 colours just don't work on the movie figs... pick a Generation and stick with it, these guys look like the victims of an awful time-travelling accident.

Crap, now I'm going to have to get starscream twice and thundercracker. These movie toys are just too cool.

Because the G1 Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp had all sorts of different mold discrepancies... : )

I'm just amazed at how a simple color change can make these characters look like they're supposed to despite the vastly different designs. Bay should have at least kept the original colors.

Can't wait to see the G1 repaints of Blackout and Barricade. Oh, wait...

Thundercracker's co-sell is "Rescue Ratchet"!!!

Dont really care for the movie Starscream design, but Its a toss up between Thundercracker and G1 screamer for the better paintjob. I wish they would make a Skywarp version, Id buy him over the other two in a second (as long as he was Black with Purple highlights)

StarScreams portrait kinda looks like that stupid cat guy from KISS.

Personaly, pass on these, even if they do a SkyWarp.

It was an issue with Classics and would have been with Energon because those jets and bots closely resembeled the origional characters they were ment to represent.

I like movie StarScream, but it's just a toy with the same name, not worth the effort to me.

I'll get Thundercracker but not Starscream.

I don't care what line or what color he is, Starscream has always sucked.

Well, I don't like them any less than the original. I don't know which Starscream I'll get, but I'll pass on TC.

You know I might actually have liked this if it wasn't for his fugly Ape legs. Not much can really help this design other than a complete overhaul to the design. The robot mode sucks arse.

I used to think that too. But know that I've bought him, I think his leg design works with the over all appearance of the figure. If the legs are the only reason you are holding off on him, i would suggest you reconsider. however if the overall aesthetic of him is not what you like then i guess you can skip him.

My only gripe are the lack of actual hands, heck even 3 fingered claws would work, like the FAB version. I just don't like large figures without actual discernible hands.

Its like the opposable thumb has become obsolete. Large alien robots would much rather melt objects, than actually pick them up, and use them for something.

Starscream suits the G1 colours, he's rather dull in his standard grey.

I actually like the new head, over the normal toys head. Vast improvement.

I'd get both, if I could afford them. On second thought, next auction I catch, with a much lower shipping cost, I'm a snag Thundercracker, asap.

I'm getting both.

Two damn fine figures if you ask me. Love the head sculpts. Believe me I'm the farthest thing from a G1 purist but now he looks like Starscream. Now if they could do something like this with Megatron...

Thundercracker has the international packaging and starscream has the US packaging.

For reasons i cannot comprehend, we outside of the US are not allowed to see a closeup drawing of the movie transformers head on the packaging of our transformers... I'd love to know why BTW... does anyone know?
