Along with him are his 3 little friends: Tops, Pterry, and Sharp T, based on the Baby Dinobots designs seen fleetingly in the opening Junkyard scenes of the movies. And yes, they are as adorable as you'd think Baby Dinobots would be in toy form.
You can check out the in hand images below, and you can keep an eye on your pre-orders if you did order a Drift, as he should be coming in stock any time now!

SS "Geewun" Optimus is a work of art in it's own right. I'm looking forward to it to arrive locally.
Tbh I kinda wish Hasbro would go with a more Sunbow cartoony aesthetic for a line with smooth panels and anime-esc angles (like giving G1 Optimus legs that actually get larger towards the bottom instead of them being big rectangles for legs).(…)
Animated was a GOLDEN line for this. Mostly cartoon accurate, clever transformation, and affordable main line transformers.
Animated was incredible.
Will we ever get Animated 2.0? I mean, as far as accuracy and effectiveness is concerned?

Prime got it almost perfect with the First Edition molds. After that in RID, there was too much hanging panels and fake parts all over. Only Vehicon for Prime RID got it perfectly.

You forget Wheeljack who rocked hard. Plus you had ultra magnus, knockout and an arcee that was more accurate than first edition and Takara gave us Breakdown.

Price point is 30 usd.
Thanks!! last i heard it wasn't going to be released so i was looking at the ones online now that are higher in price. Much appreciated!
All I gave you was the price point, we have no assurance that Target (or whoever else) will stock the exclusive. With store exclusives, the only assurance you have is when they show up, not before. People waited 1 year for Walgreens to stock POTP Wreck Gar and some couldnt wait and paid double.
Some never end up beign sold in the US for one reason or another, like this Unicron toy below, even though target carried other toys in the platinum 30th movie anniversary line:
And this exclusive Thundercracker from last year still hasnt appeared in the US:
So it's up to you. Can you wait several more months to see if Megs shows up at retail for $30 ?
Give yourself a deadline for when you cant wait anymore and the amount of money you wouldnt mind paying for him. If you set these limits, then nomatter what there wont be any regrets.

Can't judge of Breakdown because I never was willing to spend the cash on him. But yeah, RID Wheeljack and Arcee were amazing.

Not without Eric Siebenaler. He was the lead designer for Animated's toyline and a vital aspect of how good that line was. The last TF line he worked on was the Prime First Edition line, before departing the TF brand back in 2011 to go over to the Star Wars brand.-Kanrabat- wrote:Will we ever get Animated 2.0? I have also followed the star wars brand and I do not see his genius at play there.
And yeah, I can tell he worked on first edition, that had the same quality and standard as Animated.

Awesome! I was hoping Scavenger was a leader, he really needs to be. I don't really have the funds to go after Devastator, but I might get Scavenger (and maybe Mixmaster) because I love those designs.
I didn't expect Overload to be a leader though, so that's cool. I wonder what design they're going with for him, I'd expect something like the old legends class one over the grievous arms/spider legs.
Also, Rampage is looking strangely orange in that picture. . . repaint, maybe?

long haul is a very lighter shade of green in the image so I wouldn't think too hard about orange rampage

Bounti76 wrote:Thanks to Seibertronian TrypticonCarne, we now have a clear image of Studio Series Devastator art in combined mode! This image comes from Weibo user NOTRAB, and not only shows us the art of Devastator, but also confirms the size classes for the remaining bots that make up the massive combiner-they can just be made out in the blue graphic showing each of their names. Overload (lower torso) and Scavenger (upper torso) will be Leader Class figures, and Scrapper (right arm) and Mixmaster (head and shoulders) will be Voyager Class. These remaining four figures aren't set to be released until 2020, so we still have plenty of time to see them in toy form.

Yeah that's been bugging me too.
Hightower seems to not only be an early mock-up in Devastator's pic, what with the Yellow Crane and rubbery cabling, but is also attached BACKWARDS.
That scoop sticking out of the outside if the arm is meant to be Devastator's LEFT THUMB, giving him 4 digits on his left hand, just like on his right. And the Crane sticks OUTWARDS on his forearm. Also because of that weird configuration, Scrapmetal seems to attach much further out than he's supposed to, which is why Devastator's Left Arm looks so much longer than his Right. They're supposed to be the same length according to the instructions.
o.supreme wrote:To actually be *movie accurate* however, wouldn't Devastator make more sense to be made up of nine 'cons instead of eight? I mean, I don't expect to see the infamous wrecking balls, but I also don't understand the logic behind making one arm out of two components, and the other, out of just one...
Actually, the arms ARE (mostly) accurate. In reality, Hightower should be a Voyager and Scrapmetal a Scout (or even smaller) figure. Also, in the movie, Scrapmetal, or WHOEVER that little guy was, was a small Bulldozer, not an Excavator.
The inaccuracy actually lies in Devastator's Left Leg. Rampage should be much closer to Deluxe sized (and Yellow) and form the lower half of the leg. Meanwhile, the forgotten Ninth member was a Yellow Dump truck (a different, smaller model from Long Haul) that formed the upper half of the left leg.
My guess as to omission was either stability issues, or no one on the design team was aware of the 9mNinth members existence. Pretty much all the concept art and media in general omit him. His single appearance, as far as I know, was a few seconds during Devastator's combination scene in the movie.
Still, I expect we'll see a Yellow Rampage repaint down the road to further the accuracy.

The extra scoop I think is just a weird photoshop error, but the cabling I'm not so sure of. Maybe a part from Scavenger that you connect to Hightower for combined mode?

While this toy only ships within Canada (including Quebec, yay!), it is possible for people outside Canada to ship it to their address though a shipping forwarding service (as it is for any item that doesn't ship to your country).

Early 2019
Rampage: Voyager
Scrapmetal: Deluxe
Late 2019
Long Haul: Voyager
Hightower: Deluxe
Early 2020
Scavenger: Leader
Overload: Leader
Scrapper: Voyager
Mixmaster: Voyager
Better save up for the latter half, especially since it will come all at once!

O no, I didn't mean it like that.
With your correction, it only shows even more that the costs per year for Devastator is really lopsided in favor of 2020. Not quite fair I'd say.

We know already that Scrapmetal is part of the next Deluxe wave of THIS year for Hasbro and the wave after that for Takara, the instructions must be incorrect.

Which is odd... unless Hasbro goofed with printing the release date. The numbering seems in favor for a 2019 release. In order:
37 Constructicon Rampage
41 Constructicon Scrapmetal
42 Constructicon Long Haul
47 Constructicon Hightower
Costs are still lopsided
