I'm working on a massive redesign of the site's design as well as the overall structure. One of the new features I've programmed for the new site is an archive for all sorts of images (such as the G1 tech specs, the Japanese bio cards, box artwork, instruction books, etc.) One of the new sections I've built is an archive for the official Hasbro product images. Do any of you save the product images to your computers? I've got the product images from toy fair 2008 and 2009 but lost all of the ones I had been saving a couple of years ago when my computer crashed.
If you've been saving the product images, I'd love to add them to the Seibertron gallery archives. Please let me know what you've got and I'll be happy to add them to the archives here on Seibertron. I am looking for ANY product images that you might have as far back as you've got them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I'll also be needing some help with the other areas in the future, but right now my focus is with the product images since that ties into the toy sightings section as well.
If you are able to help in some way, please reply to this news post here or send an email to ryan@seibertron.com.
Please note that I am unable to use Box Artwork that was scanned by other websites (such as BotchTheCrab.com - a great resource by the way). I would also like to use official images that do NOT have watermarks from Seibertron.com's competitors (such as TFW, Tformers, etc). Hasbro, Botcon and Transformers Collector's Club watermarks are OK.

Barrelass wrote:Not sure how willing they would be to help, but someone at Hasbro should have these in a database somewhere. You do provide them with a substantial amount of press. Hell, your site is one of the top google-news links when you search for Transformers under their news section. Im sure it isn't a top priority for them, but maybe someone here has some connections there.
Already sent them a message.

Hey mattyc1007,
I'm looking for anything and everything you've got ... RID, Energon, Armada, Beast Wars. You name it ... we need it!
I would prefer to have the images zipped up and sent to me via email if possible or if needed, I could set you up with an FTP account if you would prefer that. Please let me know what works best for you. Thanks in advance!

If you can send them to ryan@seibertron.com via a zip file, that would be perfect. Please let me know if you have a different way that you would like to send them to me. Thanks Megatron_Wolf!

If you can't do the zip file because your email account can't send files that big, we could do one of two things:
1) You could register for a gmail account which lets you send extremely large files. In fact, I haven't found a file size limit yet in the four years that I've been using it so it's possible that's it's a fairly unlimited file size. I highly recommend Gmail plus you can import your email from your other email accounts such as Yahoo and such.
2) I could set you up with FTP access if you have an FTP program. If you don't, there are free ones available such as Filezilla.
Let me know what works best for you. Thanks in advance!

I also downloaded all of the PDF instructions from Hasbro's website. I'll be converting the PDFs to JPGs and uploading those to the database as well. I think I've got over 500 instructions from their website.

I also saved the profile picture that was on the side of the animated bubbles, and the Voyager boxes. I can scan these as well if you would like them.
