Not at all, thats how RID currently works, which is how TFs have always worked since G1. Bringing back older figures to keep them on the shelves. On the last few years of generations did things differently. And even then, the legends class in CW has had repackaged toys.

The TFCC one was pretty great, I don't know if they could top it.

Pretty sure it will be a straight up repaint of Skullsmasher with a different TM head

Thats super weird since G1 Krok wasnt a crocodile (just his weapon/accessory was).

Oh, That's probably it. Even though that's kinda lame since the original Krok looked like he turned into a vehicle.
They should've did someone with an actual beast mode. Everyone was suggesting Carnivac from Wolfwire.
Even Slugfest from Skullsmasher would be preferable since we already had a deluxe Overkill a few years back.

I hope a Legends Frenzy happens at some point, it would be an easy enough repaint, though I had a look back through previous Titans Return leaks and they don't mention Frenzy.

On the other hand, getting ageneral release Krok would be nice, it might fix the flaws of the Skullcruncher mold and they could say he got a Chimeracon mode.

It still would've made more sense if the carryover figure was Gnaw or even kickback since they're more likely to be troop built while Bumblebee will likely shelf-warm and receive more angst and resentment (it's not like his solo film is out this year so this is a dumb move by Hasbro if true).
In any case I will be grabbing Brawn and Roadburn. Kup and Broadside are a pass but I can't wait to get Sky Shadow.

Not sure what to make of Quake and Krok. Krok is fine, will most likely be a cool update to Action Master Krok. But making Quake a Headmaster just takes away from what made him unique. I'm not a fan of everyone becoming a Headmaster.
I still stand by my initial thoughts about Titans Return that the entire line would have been better have to have figured out how to do Powermasters, Targetmasters and Headmasters right, with a unified size for the Titan Masters. Not a fan of a double Targetmaster like Quake being turned into a Headmaster ... nor would I be a fan of Mindwipe being turned into a Targetmaster. I'm all for updating characters to suit a purpose, but at this point it's just kind of lazy that everyone gets the same gimmick. Oh well, a little late at this stage in the game.
I do like the aesthetics of most of this line, just want to keep the core characters as their original types for the most part.

I would much much much rather of had Eject or Frenzy in that slot heck even Rosanna or Flipsides would have been nice. Glit might have gone nicely with Soundwave too.
Rumble seems to sell OK so I can see people wanting the pair.
It seems kind of dismissive or odd behaviour as the Blue robot in the cartoon is the more recognised yet they went with the least seen colour scheme of red (I don't personally mind RIR/FIB however) but then Rewind is inspired by the Comic alone as a reason for making him at least and thus it seems Hasbro is being dismissive of Eject (not that there was much of either of them in the cartoon).
I hope they will slot some of those missing data pads in some giftsets in the coming months.
Look like Wave 4 is a bit of a filler wave however.

If that does end up being the case, I've come up with a sort of spaceship mode for the skullcruncher mold

Everyone was talking about them at the time; there was a pretty big discussion about how well Krok being a Skullsmasher redeco would go. I'm just surprised everyone's acting so surprised is all when we've known this for months and talked about it for months.

I hear ya, Seibertron! To be completely honest, I skipped out on the original Headmasters because I thought sentient alien robots would never need to pair up with organics, especially as their heads! And don't get me started on the Pretenders - but nowadays, I wish I had picked those subsequent figures up.
From a character/canon perspective, I can't imagine a reason Hot Rod would become a headmaster (targetmaster, sure!), but from a playability standpoint, the Titan Masters are fun to have pilot the deluxe/leader vehicles.....however, if we see Rodimus proper in the next couple of years, I would prefer he be Leader-sized and not be separable from his head.
Having missed out on Krok, Quake, and lots of others after the 1986 movie blew up my childhood, I enjoy Generations - primarily for the poseability and modern take....and I feel ok letting my 3 & 5 year olds play with CHUGs (but not Masterpieces!).

I don't remember the rumours specifying molds and even then how do we know at what stage of the rumour they were added. We won't know till we get images. And speaking of which, it's super odd how Hasbro witheld their reveal for so long.

Correct. It's a bit of an artifact in that Tidal Wave was listed twice in the original, with different Chinese names (which have yet to be translated!). His Micron Legends name Shockwave is merely to separate the two.

Also considering the source of the list (I know its says Hasbro but...) This may be a mix of Hasbro & TT product considering God Bomber is listed, and as far as we know, that is exclusive to the TT Legends line.

Do you have an example image of this in both modes at all ?
Sure do! Sorry it took me a while to get things in order to take the pictures. (Also I haven't worked out how to resize embedded images yet, so sorry for the multiple giant embeds.)
Front is as normal with the 'turned-around-legs' mod, but the panels also help prevent the giant gap between thigh and knee from being so obvious at a glance.
Back shows what I meant with my complicated and vague instructions. Actual heel struts can't be deployed as the panels get in the way, but the spikes work perfectly well and he stands just fine in mild-to-moderate poses.
Panels don't actually clip in anywhere, but they stay in place perfectly fine and don't leave any awful gaps or anything.
Looks like about 45 degrees of knee bend, so not fantastic but better than if the panels were left on right-way-up.
Vehicle mode mostly unaffected, but the fact that the thinner end of the panel points forward now means that the ship's shape from the top is actually a little more streamlined.

Having his own TV show and likely having a huge role in the movie that IS coming out this year, that isn't good enough? It's been ten years of Bees, someone must be buying them.

With you that a mix would have been better (and there's also other things they could have looked into redoing, such as Braimasters if they wanted to make domestic toys of more Japanese characters or Micromasters to go with the bases they're making for Leader-Clas and up). But how well everyone getting the same gimmick goes over with me depends at least partly on what the gimmick is; "everyone is a Combiner" appealed to me more than "everyon is a Headmaster" does, and I'd take "everyone is a Triple Changer" over "everyone is a Double Pretender".

I hope you get to read this response because there is something fun I noticed and wanted to share. I too found it too bad that they were turning everyone into a headmaster especially when John Warden first said that the Titan Masters would be what all the "masters" are called. I thought that just meant you would have diversified tiny bots that would all be bought under the titan master class. But then I realized that while poorly advertized, the titan masters can be used as both headmasters and targetmasters. Notice how all the titan master vehicles have weapon modes and in each of those modes, we are asked to place the titan master within it, as part of it. Like Apeface's titan master weapon configuration. In that case, the titan master, becomes a target master by fusing with the weapon mode.
Plus, look at all the weapons that come with the deluxes and voyagers. All of these weapons can have the titan master pilot them, once again having the titan master interact with the weapon rather than be a head. G1 didnt have that interaction between headmasters and weapons.
So now I see what Hasbro was going for when they said that titan masters would replace all the "masters", at least in the way that they interact as both headmasters and target masters, in this new take on it. Like that the titan masters can interact with all the bots in different ways and different configurations while being either heads or adding to the firepower.

Quake is the only one I can say I will definitely skip. I need to see Krok to make that decision.

a possible revealed of the deluxe waves?
Anyways, the waves are revealed, Featuring Quake (Retool/Remold?),Topspin,Kup (already revealed), Krok (with a weird repaint) and the most favorite and autobot scientist, is none of all is Perceptor!
