We know this from an answer given by Ben MacCrae of Hasbro, who confirmed this to the crowd at Wondercon. We have a video below showing you this, you can go wo the 40 minute mark. He says this is for the Studio Series line, so it is unknown if all Transformers lines will be getting plastic windows back next year.
Speaking of videos, we also have a video of the transformation for the upcoming Studio Series Transformers One Optimus Prime. We thank Overcracker for letting us know of it.

Seems the yellow tan plastic is not quite as as yellowey tan in reality. Transformation is very interesting.

Now we know that Pax doesn't become Prime until he gets the Matrix so I think all the toys will use the Optimus Prime name since only we few, we noble few, know who Orion Pax is.
Literally says Orion Pax on the front of the Prime Changer box.

Correction, it says Orion Pax/Optimus Prime. So Optimus Prime is on the box somewhere.

My point is they aren't shying away from the name, there will be more figures with the name on it. But is it really that few of us that already know? Aside from the character arc in the G1 cartoon the name has been used in comics, later cartoons, and we've had how many proper Transforming figures now? Six? One even turns into Optimus Prime, it isn't the rare bit of trivia that it was 20 years ago.

What is this, 1996? 100% of Transformers fans are online. And even if they weren't (they are) it's not like everyone has to run to TFWiki for their trivia, some people just remember things.

People do tell me I have a good memory, which is ironic considering I've worked in dementia care for 27 years. Man, I was watching React the other day and they were playing guess the 80s cartoon with Gen X and I was laughing at these old people trying to remember the names of cartoons from my childhood and then remembered I look just like them.

But that's hilarious that they are choosing to switch back til next year??? They should have done this change like ASAP. But I suppose they can take a loss and continue to take any and all loses between now and next year I guess with losses like missing heads and this....
Well this is awesome news none the less, I for one don't care for this line unless a diamond shines in the rough.
So I found this TODAY on my way home HasTak and this will continue between this month until that change next year. Maybe you should change to windows sooner than later...'nuff said

Hasbro really should rework these boxes, there's nothing on the bottom sealing them, they're just folded. You can push on the bottom of the box and it opens right up, no need to cut tape or anything.

So we will have to continue to deal with missing heads, stolen parts, etc, for a few more months then. To go back on to clear plastic windows....this must've cost them a ton. The altered figures are usually returned for credit because of being "damaged" by the retailer. For them to go back to what is going to be regarded as an environmentally negative packaging....it must have been a pretty hefty hit.

But in this case he's supposed to be a small Prime figure so he's being shown with other small Prime figures. We'll probably get a larger one later.

The point would be to see how small/big it is. A comparison to ER Prime and the old Classic mold would have been nice to see.

Those are called Prime Changers and so far we saw Optimus Prime and Alpha Trion. We knew there would be more but due to the use of code names, we didnt know which other characters it would be. Well, after getting all the recent product descriptions, which you can read below, we now can associate the code names and we now know that Sentinel Prime and Bumblebee will get Prime Changer (deluxe) figures as well. Bumblebee was a no brainer but it’s cool to see Sentinel Prime getting so much love in this line.
We see from other toys that this version of Sentinel Prime turns into a cybertronian jet. He is the blue and gold bot in the trailer. We do not have an image for these two toys yet.
Below are all the product descriptions and images of what we have seen for this line so far outside of Prime Changers.
Transformers One COG Changers – 4-inch figures convert from robot to alt mode in one step by switching the conversion cog into place. Bumblebee (B-127), Whelljack and Airachnid will be available in Summer 2024 for $9.99.
Transformers One Robot Battlers – 4.5 inches figures convert from robot to alt mode in 3 steps. They can be placed on the Battle Bases, and they can perform action moves by sliding the finger slots. When one figure is knocked off its base, it is declared the loser of the battle. Figures have articulated heads, arms, and legs, and they come with a Battle Base and an Energon Power Sword that attaches in robot mode. Sentinel Prime (jet alt mode), Bumblebee (B-127) and Elita-1 will be available in Summer 2024 for $14.99,
Transformers One Robot Battlers 2-Pack – This features both Optimus Prime (3-steps) and Megatron (5-steps) packaged together for the Robot Battlers line. Two Battle Bases and attachable Energon swords, an axe, and blast effect accessories are included. They will be available in Summer 2024 for $24.99,
See all the mirrored images after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!
Update – official pics and product copy now added after the break.

Don't worry. There will be Studio Series offerings for this movie as well.DeathReviews wrote:Hm. I can't speak for others, but as a more 'mature' collector, I don't find these kiddie-style offerings appealing. Even if there are a few decently advanced figures in the mix, there's probably going to be so much romper-room level stuff that I may not bother. The same thing happened with the TF Prime/Robots In Disguise line, the Cyberverse line, the Rescue Bots line, Earthspark, and now this one. So far it doesn't look like I'll find much in the "ONE" line that motivates me to collect.

You're not forced to "collect". If there's just a single ONE of those who might be fun and original, it may be nice to get. Like for me, I may get that big "triple changer" Optimus if it ever happen to be on sale.
That's how I roll for these lines.

That's only logical, no? Since these are made for a very specific target audience that is not us, we won't find them appealing.

There are many more toys, some for very little kids, like a non converting Optimus figure that goes from "no cog" to "cog" mode and some that even collectors may like, such as the High Commander Quintesson figure which turns into an organic looking space ship.
