They mentioned him being on a prison ship so I'm guessing the Autobots "branded him" a Decepticon. Doesn't sound like Dinobots have their own faction the way Predacons do.

Everything else seems fine. Just the thing with Grimlock has me concerned.

Why does Grimlock sound like Cyborg? Not that I'm complaining, he actually sounds pretty cool.

I agree.
Not to be racist. But, GRIMLOCK SHOULD NOT BE BLACK!!! I apologize to anybody I have offended in the comment. But he should always be the thick headed egomaniacal dunce that we all fell in love with. And he should be silver. Or copper. OR ANYTHING BESIDES GREEN! (I will call him Greenlock from now on.)
Oh and Bisk?! Oh dear god.

all i can say is i am liking this series more and more
though the thing with grimlock i think that might change to the autobrand in later episodes.
Strong arm i think she'd get along well with Arcee and Jack and some of the others of Team Prime

That was kinda offensive, dude.
Honestly, this new Grimlock doesn't bug me that much. He's been green before, as many others before me have pointed out (Car Robots Hurricrane, AOE Grimlock's patina). And he's still a thick-headed, ego-maniacal dunce. He's just a slightly more verbose dunce.

Odd character in Bisk. Has lobster-ish qualities with the claws and eye stalks, so I assume it's a play on "lobster bisque" namewise.
Grimlock with the Decepticon symbol is odd, but it's not the first time a Decepticon or Predacon has switched allegiances. Having the authority issue solidifies this Grimlock is close in demeanor to the G1 version.

Yeah, but he's green. AND BLACK! (Again, no offence intended.)

Bring back a Beast Wars-like cartoon that actually makes people " think" rather than just be entertained by action and explosions and subculture trends. At this point the franchise is big enough to give us nothing but all new characters with universal sensibility that will still be appreciated and would make enough of a profit - rather than this ghetto trash b.s. This is a new low for Hasbro!Change the voice, or change the name. That is not Grimlock!

Get over it when things change and if you don't like it don't watch it.
And this is not G1 Grimlock but RID Grimlock so its a good thing they are changing from the norm because that makes things interesting.

This looks to be very kid friendly. I guess the leap from Rescue Bots to Prime was a bit too far and Hasbro needed a softer touch for the key demographic.
I get it, it's not Prime. And while ditching the gritty CG for bright and happy colors is acceptable, the writing is suffering from a total lack of depth. These are very one dimensional character archetypes.
Bumblebee as the reluctant leader is a good choice. It echoes the comics, but will be a fresh idea to most.
Battle masks are neat. I hope they integrate them into the toyline so I don't have to buy $20 3rd party heads.
Please get rid of those circular faction symbols.
I already hate Grimlock. I'm also pretty sure he will be the lines first re-paint.
The decepticon-of-the-week gimmick will get old fast but it gives Ash and his friends plenty of excuses to catch em all.
Speaking of cons and that animal themed look, I am completely in love with the designs I've seen so far... even if basing alien robot forms off earth animals makes no sense whatsoever.
Lastly, was that Roberto from Futurama in that one clip?

So, Cyborg from Teen Titans is "ghetto"? Give me a freaking break. I talk like that, and I'm from Long Island! If you seriously think that slight accent is bad, why don't you actually go live in a real ghetto? In the Deep South, Grimlock's voice would be considered mild. How is that type of diction "demoting our children's level of intelligence", anyways? Because they don't all sound like generic white guys?

Also, anyone else think Bee's silhouette vaguely resembles TF: Prime's Prime (before the BH/Forge of Solus Prime upgrade)? Between the broad chest and arm/shoulder configuration, he just seems... Prime-ish.

Did the Optimus Prime scene in the trailer from a few days ago seem a little "He lives in you" to anyone else?
Still wish Raf was in this, it seems odd that Bumblebee would come back to Earth and not contact his best friend on the whole planet.

Not to be racist.
There isn't a sentence ever spoken that has started out "Not to be racist.." and didn't end up sounding racist anyway. Just saying.
Annd that being said, it'll be interesting to see if this actually is indeed THE Grimlock or someone who's taken on the Grimlock name like Beast Wars Megatron took on the Megatron mantel.
But seriously..never start a sentence "Not to be racist.." Because it never turns out sounding they way you think it is.

Hey, show a little respect, Beast Wars was a great show, plus its toyline's success saved the Transformers franchise from being scrapped after G2 underperformed. I get what you're trying to say, but still.

And I don't think the change in his circumstance is that crazy either. It's not hard to imagine how a somewhat unhinged character prone to uncontrollable violent outburst could wind up imprisoned.
Example: On Cybertron, Shockwave's alterations to Grim' mind degenerate, he becomes more and more unhinged. Lost in the wilderness and stuck in beastmode, 'cons capture him to use as an attack dog, and they give him a fresh coat of paint and Deceptibrands. The 'cons are captured, the Autobots don't know the scary green monster is Grimlock, they put them all on the prison ship. Ship crashes, reboots Grimlock, fixing his brain, but damaging his memory.

Or simpler: At some point his savage side so overtakes him that he no longer knows fiend from foe, nor particularly cares about the distinction. Autobots lock him up to keep him and themselves safe until they can fix his programming.
And then he escapes to Earth and hangs out with Beast Boy.

Let's see/give the series a chance (not to thrilled imho) if this gets the proper ratings to get it to match previous ratings of the older series.

I can understand your empathy to want to think appropriately, civilized and not hurt anyone's feelings. For that I applaud you. You must have a big heart, and I mean that in the most sincerest of ways. However, I think some people need to stop with the racist" witch hunt". Perhaps, people ought to utilize context clues to understand what I meant by "ghetto" subculture. That has absolutely nothing to do with RACE, itself. I hear plenty of white and Hispanic people sound like ghetto trash- and it's not like they were taught to talk like that at school. I can use other words to describe what I was talking about: " Hollywood Hip-hop sub culture" , " trend slang", " anti-intellectual movement" . So perhaps, one shouldn't be so quick to accuse someone of being a "racist". In fact, as a minority, I've experienced true racism in different parts of the Country and oversees. So I apologize if when my statement hits some people in bleeding heart, I know they mean right ; but the fact of the matter is, they turned a character into a rip-off caricature . It's like turning Super Mario into a California surfer dude with blonde hair. It's just stupid and a cheap way to get more $$$ . It's just like what Michael Bay did with Skidz and Mudflap in ROTF - stupid stereotypes utilizing the colloquialism a popular subculture. Characters are who they are. I think changing the character is an insult to the original fans who kept the franchise alive for 20+ years, new fans who watched the old show, the writers of both the show and comics, Gregg Berger ( who voiced Grimlock ), and my basset hound that I named Grimlock! Why not just call him Grimhop, or Grimload, or Ghettolock - seriously. IF it's not the character- give it a different name!

Still, that Grimlock man... that's not Grimlock. If they wanted to put Bulkhead in this they should have just put Bulkhead in this, not turned Grimlock into.... THAT!

All in all, it's kinda like Animated made in Energon-like style. But they decide to fuse the worst elements of both styles.
But i still give this series a chance, may be it won't be so bad.

Everything seems to give us expression that "Limited (if any) role of Both Optimus Prime and Megatron." And there is a few characters without direct equivalent in previous series. I'm only affraid that new series will be childish and bad looking.
The above could equally apply to Rescue Bots.
If anything, it seems Hasbro is trying to strike a balance between Prime & Rescue Bots.

First...I'm wondering if this is intentional but Bee's bot body looks like Prime's...kind of dig that. The arms, torso, and shoulders especially.
I...I want to like this...but getting a weird Mighty Morphin Power Ranger vibe from the animation, voices, and what looks to be a possible revolving door of hunted Decepticons. The Decepticon designs can go crazy and the lobster bot in one clip was actually kind of interesting in a weird way. I will give the series a shot since it will be on Cartoon Network...the humans are garbage as usual.
